June 20th Saturday - Chapter Ride - Led by Sal Marsequerra, our sole surviving charter member. An advanced ride to San Jose via the backroads! Meeting at Nifty 50 Cafe in Seaside at 8:30 for breakfast, KSU at 9:30 am. Be gassed up!
Here's what Sal
says about this ride:
"EXPERIENCED
RIDERS ONLY. This road has plenty of
twists and turns about 3 miles of
rough road and we will be sharing
the road with some bicyclists. This
is a very challenging ride for
inexperienced riders.
From there we will go to Corrallitos
Mkt, where we can have a brief stop
for a smoke and potty break.
Corrallitos rd becomes Eureka Cyn
Road where a few miles up it becomes
the rough rd and the twists begin.
Then it becomes Highland way to
Summit rd where we will stop at the
Summit Mkt for a stop for
smokes and potty (we will need it
after these roads we just traveled
)We will from there ride to the
bridge that overpasses 17 left on
Bear Creek rd Big Basin way Hwy 9 to
saratoga where we will gas up
then on to Mimi's Cafe for a great
lunch (on El Paseo De Saratoga in
San Jose). This ride is approx
80 miles but will seem a lot longer
because of the challenging
roads."

July 21st - 24th STAR Days 2009 - Billings Montana is the home of the event this year. Many of us plan on making the pilgrimage. REGISTRATION IS OPEN!!
